Old Crafting Books

July 14, 2010

A few months ago I found an old book from the Stitch by Stitch series at a thrift store from the early 80′s. I bought it not because I wanted to make anything from it but because some of the patterns and ideas were so hilariously 80′s. Here are some of the projects in the book, for your enjoyment.

This book is from the 1980′s but this look is straight out of the 1880′s.

I kind of want a sunshine vest.

This is my favorite project from the book. Because everyone needs a wool shawl for lounging by the pool.

Every dress needs a full spandex bodysuit to go underneath it.

I like yellow as much as the next person, but this makes my eyes hurt. Also, so many ruffles.

There’s nothing babies love more than a terrifying clown mobile.

This is the cutest project in the book. I love the apple pocket!
