DIY Zippy Pouches

September 6, 2010

I’m a bit of a freak when it comes to staying organized and I hate it when I can’t find something in my purse and have to dig around in there. So, I decided to make a couple of pouches to keep things a little neater. I made this basic one out of some really rad mermaid fabric by Heather Ross. It fits my iPhone perfectly.

The inside is just a simple fabric with a floral design. In coordinating orange, of course.

I also made a pencil case which I embellished with an embroidered fox. He is totally rockin’ out to some tunes.

The inside has a cute fall plaid.

While I think I still need to refine my pouch-making skills, they aren’t too hard once you see how they’re put together. I used these two blog tutorials to make mine: BlueFlowerTreasures and Skip to My Lou.
