The Blog

A home is a place where we not only hang our hats (and various other articles of clothing)  but where we should be able to feel comfortable and at ease with ourselves and our surroundings. Creating that comfy, nest-like space could but  certainly doesn’t have to mean spending a fortune. There are a millions ways that you can rearrange, get creative, DIY and tidy up your space so that it becomes a place that you look forward to coming home to and waking up with in the morning without smashing open your poor piggy bank to do so. It doesn’t matter if you rent or own, are a student or a busy professional; there is no reason to live in a space that makes you feel anything but happy.

And that brings us to the purpose of this blog. Through the posts on this blog you’ll be able to read about art projects, craft ideas, vintage shopping and other ways to keep costs down while living disgustingly stylishly. Of course, what I choose to include on this site will be a reflection of my own personal tastes and talents, but hopefully everyone will find a little something they can take away with a few personal tweaks to the ideas.

Finally, you may occasionally find posts on this blog that aren’t necessarily about just about the physical home but about things like happiness, relationships and other things that most of us think about or experience on a day-to-day basis in our homes or apartments that can change how we see and interact with the world around us.

Thanks so much for your post on finding Japanese fabrics– otherwise would not have found some great sources I such as Superbuzzy.

    Best to you!

I haven’t actually ever made a crewel work picture. These are images done by others that I simply liked and reposted here.

another great source for cheap quilters fabric is Wish Upon A Quilt. Make sure to check out the sale room. I was able to get several yards of fabric for $3.50-$6.50/the.
