The Author

Here’s what you need to know about me:

  • I am a professional blogger for online education sites.
  • I graduated from the University of Illinois with degrees in Anthropology and Art History, though I went into school with the intention of majoring in painting.
  • This blog is my first foray into blogging for non-professional reasons.
  • I enjoy painting and crafting to a ridiculous degree, and haven’t met a flea market, thrift store or vintage shop I didn’t enjoy rummaging through.
  • I’m struggling to make blogging on this site part of my regular routine so bear with me!
  • If you have any questions or comments please feel free to email me at thehumblenest@gmail.com

Christine, I just started reading your blog a few days ago and I love it — it’s so inspired AND inspiring!
I’m not even VAGUELY domestic, but I enjoy reading about other people’s domesticity. Keep up the good work, and thanks for your efforts!

Just started a blog myself, and it is hard to be regular with posting. I’m trying to finish up some pieces so I can post. So I know the feeling.

Christine, I own Fabric Alley and I just read the comments. We have updated our website and changed the name to TwentyOne7. We have the best prices anywhere online or off for designer fabric that are sold to the trade only. Now people can decorate their homes the way designers do!

Thank you for listing our shop!

I would love to add your list to our local newsletter for the American Sewing Guild. Is that OK?
